A wealth of information is available, and in some cases, freely available
to developing countries. A major gap exists in some countries where
library staffs do not have the requisite skills needed to provide acceess
n that directly benefit their countries economucally and socially. Where
services do exist, there is often a major lack of standards and guidelines
for libraries regarding responsibilities and services. Much of this
information is available; however, awareness that this information exists
is minimal and it is often difficult to locate.
